Dr. Marissa Veld
DVM
Dr. Veld was born and raised in DeMotte, Indiana, and spent her school breaks working for Davis Veterinary Clinics since 2013.
She returned to Davis Veterinary Clinic as a full-time veterinarian in 2019 after completing her doctorate of veterinary medicine at Purdue University. Dr. Veld is particularly interested in feline medicine and neurology.
She enjoys getting to work with her awesome veterinary team and clients to help all furry friends enjoy happy, healthy lives with their families.
In her spare time, you can find Dr. Veld at Purdue ballgames, Zumba class, hiking or horseback riding at state parks, spending time with friends and family both near and far, or taking her cat Loki for a stroller ride around the neighborhood.
Dr. Johnathon Buis
DVM
My name is Johnathon Buis. I have worked in the veterinary field in various positions since high school. Then, in 2018 I graduated Purdue University and became a veterinarian.
I have an interest in arthritic care with a focus on large breeds, and regenerative medicine. When not at the clinic, I am with my wife, three young children, and our family pets. They occupy most of my free time.
You may find us in the garden, tending the orchard, or working with the beehives.
Dr. Lilley
DVM
Dr. Lilley is a graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a NW Indiana native with experience in both large and small animal medicine, specializing in small animal medicine and urgent care. When not caring for her patients, she spends time with her family and a menagerie of animals – cattle, rabbits, cats (lots of them!) and a dog. She also enjoys watching sports and hiking with her husband and boys, flower gardening and cooking.
Kayla Sikma
My name is Kayla Sikma. I have been with Davis since January 22′.
I am most passionate about providing a safe & happy environment for all of our patients who are nervous or scared about their visit.
I am a fur Mom to my GSD & Corgi, 3 barn kitty’s, and 3 horses. I spend the majority of my time outside of work with my husband or competing in barrel races and rodeos on the weekends!
Grace Edwards
My name is Grace Edwards. I have been here a little over a year. I have 10 cats and 1 dog. I obviously have a problem taking pets home. 🙂
I have always loved being around animals and caring for them, especially cats. I am passionate about providing a safe, loving, and comfortable space for all animals that come through our doors as well as their owners.
In my spare time outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and of course their pets!
Alyson Lagastee
My name is Alyson Lagastee and I have been a part of Davis Veterinary Service since May of 21′. I am currently in school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
I am most passionate about providing quality care to our patients. Outside of work and school, I spend my time with family & friends, along with my 2 Golden Retrievers and 3 cats.
Elizabeth Davis
I have been in the veterinary field for over 26 years! RVT for 23 years and at Davis for 8 of those years. I have always had a love for surgery, anesthesia & emergency medicine.
You will find me mostly behind the scenes doing “techy” things such as being your pets surgery/anesthesia/dental tech, running lab work, placing catheters, reading cytology’s and playing the part of “vampire” to draw blood and more.
When I am not at work, my family & I raise & train quarter horses for barrel racing. We enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, trail riding, fishing, and riding quads, etc.
At the moment, we currently have 4 horses and a barn dog named Sammie and multiple barn kitties. You will usually find me at the barn every night and at horse shows/rodeos on the weekends! 🙂
Kristin Wilson
I have called Davis Veterinary Service my home away from home for the last 10 years.
As much as I adore all of our furry friends that visit us here, my main role has been to make sure their family is also taken care of too. I have 3 amazing dogs at home and we have been blessed with an amazing little grandson.
My husband and I love and dote on him as much as we can. When I have any spare time, I love to garden, go fishing, and spend time outdoors.
